Anu Sethee is the VP, Legal Practice Leader at LegalZoom.com. In that role, she leads all attorney service delivery for LegalZoom’s attorney-fulfilled product offerings, and manages their external independent attorney network of 150+ attorneys that supports their nationwide legal plans, as well as the strategic leadership and operations of LZ Legal Services. During her time at LegalZoom, Anu has been responsible for all aspects of attorney service delivery, including attorney productivity, quality, and engagement; customer satisfaction and support; legal and regulatory compliance; as well as process improvement and operational efficiency. Prior to joining LegalZoom in 2016, Anu owned and operated her own law firm in Southern California focused on bankruptcy, immigration, and business law for 7 years. She was at law firms focused on civil liberties and consumer protection prior to that. She is a volunteer legal advocate for several civil liberty and immigration defense non-profit organizations. She received her J.D. from USC Gould School of Law in Los Angeles, CA, and her B.A. in Political Science, with minors in Economics and Law & Society from U.C. San Diego in La Jolla, CA.
Chase Hertel is a principal consultant with Access to Justice Ventures, a legal service business model consultancy focused on helping justice tech companies leverage regulatory reform opportunities and increase access to justice. He is also the president and counsel for SimpleCitizen, a technology company that helps individuals and families navigate USCIS immigration processes. Previous to this role, he was a principal with LegalZoom's attorney services team and was the deputy director and counsel of the American Bar Association’s Center for Innovation. Passionate about scaling access to legal help, Chase has dedicated his career to building compliant technology products that bring lawyers and clients together. He is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Law and Missouri State University. Chase is a member of the Legal Services Corporation’s Emerging Leaders Council, the American Bar Association, the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, the National ABS Law Firm Association and the Maryland Bar.
Tamar serves as Darrow's VP Operations and Deputy CEO, following 2.5 years as the company’s Chief of Staff. She is responsible for driving efficient company growth and scale through strategic operational leadership, by overseeing strategic planning and execution, leading high-priority, cross-functional business initiatives, and managing the company's in-house legal and risk management teams.
Tamar has an LL.B. and a B.A. in Political Science from Reichman University. Before joining Darrow, she was an attorney at Gornitzky & Co., a leading Israeli law firm where she specialized in representing international institutionals, private companies, and public corporations in complex M&A transactions, hi-tech investments, and financing agreements. She is highly experienced on the business side of legal practice, having served as Head of International Business Development at Robus, providing strategy and business development services to leading international law firms expanding their practice in Israel.
Tamar moved to Israel from the US at the age of 17, served as an officer in the IDF for 3+ years as an International Liaison Officer. She coordinated between the IDF and various national militaries, as well as UNIFIL, UNDOF, UNTSO and the MFO. She then served as the Assistant to the Head of the Liaison Department within the Strategy Division of the Planning and Policy Directorate.

Nic is the CEO & Managing attorney of Big Auto Accident Attorneys. Big Auto is and Arizona ABS law firm that specializes in auto and truck cases. Prior to Big Auto, Nic clerked for the Honorable Sherry Fallon for the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, work as a litigation attorney for Ryley Carlock & Applewhite and Lerner & Rowe both based out of Phoenix, AZ. He now focuses his law practice on helping people seriously injured in car and truck accidents and in leveraging strategic business relationships that support ABS law firms.
He has represented thousands of clients and recovered more than $50 Million Dollars fighting for their injuries and medical bills. A believer in building strong client relationships, Nic enjoys the challenges associated with finding creative solutions for each individual client and case to secure the maximum value for their injuries. He’s also a proud 40 Under 40 member of National Trial Lawyers.
Nic is originally from Vancouver, Canada, but has made Arizona his home. He and his wife Katie have five wonderful sons.
Evan Bortz is the Director of Operations for Spear Consulting Group, LLC. Evan oversees all operational consulting for Spear. He has worked with 11 of the approved ABS law firms get approved and/or in an on-going basis. Additionally, he serves as the Director of Operations for Big Auto – Accident Attorneys, PLLC, a personal injury law firm focused on motor vehicle accidents, where he oversees all non-legal service operations. He brings a background in finance, lending, and risk management. Prior to joining Spear, he worked in the mortgage industry for several years, primarily with Rocket Mortgage. He handled collateral risk management for Rocket where he assessed and made lending decisions on $3.5 billion dollars in loan volume per year. Evan obtained his bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from Towson University and obtained his MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.
Shawn Aiken has 36 years’ experience as a trial lawyer and 26 years' experience as a neutral in business litigation and arbitration, especially misrepresentation, unfair competition, business tort, and contract cases.
